    Male Reed Bunting

I stalked this chap for about 10 minutes as he moved from one perch to another. I got this shot when he perched in a hedge with enough brambles between him and me that he was confident I couldn't reach him. 7D and 400L as usual...

Worth waiting to get a clean background

ps - I find it is better just to post one new thread at a time to give people a chance to make comment (or not ) before posting another

Thanks for looking and the comments everyone

Wayne, the 400L is a stonking bit of kit for the price and well worth saving up for. Now if only Canon would do a stripped down 500 f5.6 L lens, i.e. with nothing extraneous like IS, for around £2k then I'd probably be a happy chap after a year or so's saving...

It's close but Amazon have a new one up for just short of £3800 which is still a but rich for my blood. Though more affordable than the Canon f4 which is up used and new for £13,000. Ouch.
