    kingfisher in flight

    not a easy target ,especially at 560mm i.e 400mm f5.6 plus 1.4tc handheld ,so well pleased with the results and glad i did that MA before i went away .also proves the burst mode of the 1d3 when you get a target lock on .

      Not an easy shot at all - you have done very well to get those even if they are a bit small in the frame - well done never the less - way better than anything I ever got In similar circumstances !

            First one is a very nice shot even though it is flying away from you.

                  Re: kingfisher in flight

                  Aye that's a good couple of shots there Jeff. Kingys are notoriously hard to capture in flight. I often sat for hours just trying to get them zipping past, but when they spot you they often take odd routes and can be known to fly up in to the tree line 20ft up.

                  Getting them flying towards you or away is sometimes the only shot you get cause it catches them by surprise. You're perfectly capable of it though and I'm sure we'll no doubt see some crackers coming :)

                    Blood & sand; what a superb capture... not necessarily the best in terms of image, but a great feat...

                    Clearly from the dambuster squadron; in #2, looks like he's left you a series of bouncing bombs...

                    Good job;

                    Cheers;
