    Kestrel Hover

This is the resident male kestrel who hunts over the Southborne cliffs. I haven't seen him since early in the year until this morning when he turned up a few minutes after i arrived and stayed for nearly half an hour along a 200 metre stretch enabling me to get around 200 shots in different poses. Most could have been left full frame but are cropped slightly for composition. Here is a sample

        Stan,
You certainly seem to conjure up some amazing shots of these wonderful birds - I would guess a lot of skill, patience and determination go into getting so many good captures !

today was just pure luck, right place and time and it was unusual for him to stay so long - felt quite sorry for him as he didnt catch a thing

Had a female Sparrow Hawk in the garden this afternoon, but she was gone before I get the camera.
