Well it was a nice walk.

Nipped over to Weald Park today as Cory had to go into work for a few hours - had a great day 'seeing and hearing' the birds but totally failed to come away with anything. Best one - I was sat with back against an old tree watching the squirrels when I felt / heard the woodpecker (followed by bits of bark falling down) carefully stood up and walked all the way around the tree - nope nothing - then just as I saw a flash of bright red a dog ran up yapping and it flew away. . . . . grrrrrrr

Anyway - didn't get anything that really stands out but needed to share just to make something of the day ;-)

#2 1/250, f/4, iso 4000, 420mm Mr Robin was probably my best of the day - even at the high iso

#3 1/1000, f/4, iso 2000, 420mm Nuthatch saw me on the aproach and this was the last I saw of him [sigh]

#4 1/500, f/8, iso 100, 420mm Just about to put camera in the car when I heard a parakeet quick grab shot from a distance

Crop of above - not bad for a split second 'chance' shot

As I said, great walk but not a good photography day.
