    Pair of Kingfishers

    There were 4 chasing each other about,sending the kids of to pastures new,very territorial around the fishing areas.

    nice photos, but they both seem soft and a lot of noise

      I prefer the second as it has a much better background and it looks sharper and a bit more detailed than the first. They do look a little soft but that is probably due to the direct upload which we have mentioned quite a few times to different people.

      Much better to use flickr

          If you already have a flickr account then so much the better and link from there. It generally is a total waste of time uploading direct as it ruins shots. On the rare occasions I have done that I oversharpen by 200% so that the degragation following upload makes the shot look normal

                          Looks much better on flickr and #1 looks a much nicer shot more colour and detail compared to image#2.

                            also had a look at your flickr stream john ,the best way to download from flickr to the forum is select 1024 x ???? as the size ,then simply cut and paste to here .i think you have lost definition in the ones above by loading to large .
