    Lucky snaps

    I'm primarily a people portrait photographer, so don't really do much bird snapping, but the other day I was wondering along and managed to grab these.

    35mm f/2.0, 50mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, Sigma 28-70 2.8, 18-55 kit lens (plus some lenses which I hire)

    you've done a lot better than me, but 1st & 2nd do look a bit over sharpened ? especially the first

    5D Mk III, 24-105 / 70-200 f2.8 L / 100-400 Mk II / 100 macro / 16-35 L / 11-24 L / 1.4 & 2x converters and a bad back carrying it all ;o)

      Agree with Ian on #1&2, but lift the shadows just a smidgin on #3 and it's a cracker...

        I'll take a look at what I did. Not normally working with feathers, at least not ones attached to a bird. :)

            Nice shots and not easy to get right if your not into b.i.f pics. . IMHO a tighter crop would enhance them all ,birds need space to fly into but in this case theres to much of it

              Buzzards are great to watch. Even better if you can get shots of them.

                Nice shots and not easy to get right if your not into b.i.f pics.
                agree with Jeff and yes there is too much dead space to the left and first two look way oversharpened - guess given your kit they are big crops

                  Agree with other comments, but never having photographed buzzards in flight I'd be well pleased with these.

                    Have to agree with others comments but still very nice images especially if you are not really into bird photography.
