    It's only a Robin...

But he did pose nicely. 7D Mark II with 70-200mm f/4L +1.4x TC, my old combo before the 400L stole me away.

Another example of a bird that likes people and, in some ways, seems completely unafraid of them. My wife and I had a nice show from this bird at Dartmoor Zoo last weekend and we're pretty sure he followed us around the park all day...

Very good feather detail and lovely background. It's just a bit too big in the frame for me and the right foot is very close to the edge of the frame.

I like it, but you needed greater DoF for me, although having said that, his eye and beak are sharp.

I agree with Brian on composition but nevertheless a great shot.

Thanks for looking everyone. I've looked at the original and I've taken nothing off the bottom so the right foot is at that position in the frame. But I've reprocess that shot and another with a bit more space around the bird...

Although the first one is a bit large in the frame I think this gives more impact to the image, but that last shot is the pick of the set for me - seems to have more DoF and therefore more detail. A very nice shot.
