Female Tufted Duck

Probably taken from the same hide as Stan's Mallard at Barnes yesterday. Stan and Dee were leaving as I arrived. Clouds were moving in and it didn't look too promising but had some nice light for a few minutes.

1DX with 500mm f4 L IS + 1.4 converter.

no we were in there earlier in the morning and there were just a few mallards and tufted ducks, most of whom were asleep when the sun came out - must have woken up for the afternoon

There were quite a few mallards and tufted ducks coming and going, mostly coming when there was cloud and going when the sun came out!
