All creatures great and small ...

My first even close to usable shots for some time. A cormorant that has been buzzing my local park for the past couple of days and a blackbird that was kind enough to pose for a time...

It's been a thin month so far, what with the good weather being during the week and the weekends being dull. Still the forecast is good for the 25th

Thanks for looking everyone. The Blackbird was quite keen on posing, it was on that perch for a couple of minutes posing for me and then moved to another perch for a few more shots. On the second perch, I had to move backwards as I couldn't get him all in the frame - I love it when small birds do that

It's always good to get birds in flight, however the background has not done you any favours. The blackbird is excellent. I may have taken a bit off the left to lose the leaves and a bit off the right to lose the twig, or clone it out.

Thanks Brian. I know what you mean about the background but the ones against clouds are worse

How's this for a better crop on the blackbird:

Two nice shots Andy, the cormorant shot displays how good the focus tracking is.
