    buzzard in regal pose

    the first person that says you cut his tail off ,will have to sit at the back of the classroom for 3 hours :-0(

    that's me then - with this sort of situation I think it is best to go in closer with a portrait crop just above his legs

      considering that these still allude me (despite seeing many on fence post) I think it looks perfect, tail or not - its all in the eye's.

        I don't mind his tail being chopped off, but its shocking you've cut the branch off

            .........you'll be kicking yourself about the tail,though, just a feathertip short of a quiver !

                  You did so well to get close enough for what is a lovely pose. Leave the feet in, shows it's wild.
                  I often get close to buzzards when cycling, (me on bike, not the bird!), but the always fly off when I have a camera.

                    Looks good to me, looks a bit cleaner on your flickr page.

                      On this occasion, as an Amateur,I would go along with Stan. A portrait crop will bring the best out of this picture. I am sure you will be the first one to tell me that I have chopped off this and that if I had posted this image!

                          I think I'd be inclined to crop somewhere in between now and Stan's suggestion.
