    A pair from Slimbridge today

Shot today at Slimbridge with my 7D2 and 400L. The first is a young flamingo just retaining the last of its grey plumage on the neck. I've done nothing funky with the colours - the colour in the water is a combination of the blue sky and plumage of the rest of the flamingos.

This one is just a head shot of a Bewick Swan, nothing out of the ordinary colour wise but a contrast between the rather ugly face of the flamingo and the much more classically good looking swan.

Excellent - I also went out this morning as well. Slipped over on our drive and fell so hard I had to go in and nurse my bruised ribs ( nothing broken I think). So I'm glad you shared your lovely images - they fill me with an envy of what was not to be in my case !

Two nice shots Andy, like the water droplet on the Swan's neck.

Thanks Jeff. We had a solid day of clear blue skies and a nice sunset. Looks good again for tomorrow but work gets in the way.

Ouch, I hope nothing's broken Jim. It was cold today but nothing like enough for ice on pavements.

I'm 40 miles the other way in Hereford.
I've stayed at Burnham a few times in recent years.
