Nice set - big bird to eat worms - I have recently seen a Buzzard follow a tractor ploughing a field looking for worms and grubs that it turned up.

Sorry Dee the first one gets my vote, great pose. See one regularly on the morning walk but on a ploughed field so brown on brown!

          Cheers guys

          big bird to eat worms
I thought it rather strange too and had expected them to be looking for voles or after the flock of redwing that were also feeding in the field with the female

Sorry Dee the first one gets my vote, great pose

Nice set but I do like that first image pose.

Saw a bird similar to this as I drove onto the A40 Cheltenham to Gloucester bypass as the ground had been all dug up by workmen - obviously rummaging for worms. Unfortunately, nowhere to stop and camera was sat at home anyway.

more or less every time we go out we see them near a roadside somewhere but our problem is not not having the camera but there is never anywhere to stop - Saw 3 along the M4 yesterday but not an emergency you can stop on the hard shoulder for So I have been very lucky this week to see and shoot both male and female and a couple of shots of the juvenile

                    Another of the male

Wow all good Stan but the last posted image is wonderful. There is an air of majesty about it, 'look at me aren't I awesome' almost.

All are well captured Stan and Dee, I'm seeing a lot more Buzzards near home now so the species must be doing well.
