    first sigma tester shot

    one of the first test shots with the new sigma .terrible weather really dull ,so on the 70d hand held at 800iso and f6.3 gave me 1/200th sec .not the best of shots but will be trying it later with the 1d3 which i feel happier with

    I'd be happy with that shot. Even got reflection in the eye.

    Be interesting to see what you get from it on a nice day.

      Shows that the bird has got a "beard" of sorts as well. Very impressive. Are you using a "punka puller" to cart the lens for you?

          at the moment having trouble with my tripod mount supporting it ,in the middle of a plastic surgery operation to put it to rights ,she will go mad if i need a new tripod as well .luckily i have engineering experience and a good workshop ,albeit freezing cold

                        whats really p***** me off is everyone i know is telling me how nice it is in the east and down south and we have been under this freezing fog blanket for two days now ,yesterday i couldn't even see to the other side of the road .

                            Great shot, especially for a practice shot - by the way, there has been a lovely blue sky all day near Bristol.
