    Male Stonechat

Spent an hour by the beach in Southbourne at the bottom of the cliffs, a favourite over the past 3 years to shoot the stonechats and wasn't disappointed. A little windy so more difficult to hand hold but worked OK, this shot at a distance of 6 metres so not much cropping

Sigma reckoned they were expecting a reasonable shipment from Japan early March but will wait and see. My local shop did have one apart from mine though

Brilliant detail and love the second as it is really good to catch a small bird taking off and still managing that level of detail, In September I bought a 300 2.8 and looking at yours and Jeffs pictures should I have waited

I almost bought a second hand Mk1 last year as well, with the idea of getting 600mm reach with my 2x converter but at twice the price of the Sigma, I doubt the quality would have been much better, if any and less flexibility without the zoom
