    Pigeon

    I suspect I'm way out of my league here as I don't really do much nature photography but here's one from quite some time back...



    Not exactly taken with your typical nature kit either: EOS D30, Sigma 90mm macro + Teleplus MC7 2x converter...

    He's a plump looking specimen. The light falling across him is nice. Background not ideal as I'm sure you are aware.

      Not the best background as you say, he/she/it was actually perched on the wall of a local churchyard. 'Twas more of a chance shot than planned.

                That's a fine enough shot of the bird, just a shame that the background is almost the same colour.

                  The background does compete with the pigeon and the tail is a bit close to the edge of the frame. It's well lit though and the exposure is spot on.
