    Not the ideal lens for wildlife Nat. The two robins, apart form being almost exactly the same shot are rather too small in the frame, too central and the colour balance not right

    Here is an edit with the colour balance corrected and a better composition

    BTW your crow is a jackdaw

        Thanks Stan and Tom for taking a look. Your edit, Stan is very nice. Thanks a lot. Also the ID about the "crow"! BTW they all look similar. Re the lens used, I was walking about with the lightweight 100D + 24-105 lens when I came across the Robin. Perhaps I could have taken it at 105mm.

        The other point, which I have raised with my comment on Jeff's recent pic,is how large should the bird appear when using a tele lens.- i.e in terms of scale whether a small bird should appear as large as a small chicken or say a magpie OR doesn't the size of the bird matter at all? In fairness I must say that your bird pics have maintained that sense of scale and I have not seen any bird overtly too large!
