          Ian - virtually full frame with the trusty 70-200. They are almost tame in St Albans. It was heading in my direction looking for an evening meal!

            really ! I saw you used the 70-200 at 135 which is a lot closer to a swan than I would get ;o)

              In fact it was full frame! I just checked!!! A man's got to take some risks... but maybe that was getting a little close! But I never felt threatened by the swan, and it clearly didn't feel threatened by me! And there were no young near by.

                brave man ... I've been chased by them before and I wasn't that close - thankfully we don't have swans here, just bulls LOL

                            Excellent sharp shot Richard, being an angler I can concur with comments about not getting too close and the buggers attack you as soon as they realise you have any bread with you
