Lee Valley, Essex. You can lose a day with no problem at all. Posting here as it's a mixture of shots.
Couple non racing attempts at the weekend, be glad when the new head for the monopod arrives from the states, handholding the 'beastie' really gives a good workout lol.

#1 After the chicks / eggs in the reed beds (only saw her for about a minute before she vanished again)

#2 Not keen on the angle but at 560mm I had to at least try against the bright background

#3 Everybody was kung fu fighting (song there somewhere) both the coot and the moorhen had a chick nearby and neither wanted to give up the bank / water space

#4 another mom with her 'Darth maul' chick, the Grebe's seem to have done really well this year which is good to see.

Thanks for looking - will never have the skill or patience to be a wildlife photographer BUT it doesn't stop me enjoying the challenge!!
