    GCG and chick

    We just happened to stroll through Apex Park as mum was taking her chick for a swimming lesson followed by some lunch. Here's five of the best. All shot with my 7D2 and 150-600C.

          Thanks for looking David and Neil.

          Neil they're very elegant and completely different from the parent aren't they And the colour scheme not only works, they're hard to see against water, but it seems to be pretty common across the Grebe family. Very cute.

            Andy first time I saw these chicks I was totally amazed as we saw them in open still water but I could imagine they hide well especially on mums back.
