    White Ibis





    The first image was taken on Fort Myers Beach, Florida and is a mature bird though not in breeding plumage. The second is an immature white ibis and was taken at Fort Desoto. I was fortunate to avoid getting the heads of other birds in the shot as they were just out of frame at the bottom of the image.

    1DX with 300mm f2.8 L IS II lens + 1.4 III TC.

    Both very nice. It looks to me that someone gets up very early in the morning to catch these images.

      Thanks David. Sunrise in Florida in May is about 06:45 so not too early.

                I rather like the first Brian and the colours of the second, just a shame the rear wing is in shadow.

                Dee and I enjoy seeing all these shots as it gives a flavour of what we may hope to see ourselves in October
