    love the reach on this 600mm monster ,hand held and virtually full frame got lots of other species as well gonna take a while to work through it all

    Nicely done Jeff.
    In particular I think the level of blue in the sky is right - just complements the eye colour

                  Well I am going against the grain with this one and say it doesn't work for me. With birds and really any animal, insect etc you need to see the eye and it needs to be clear of any obstruction/ The grass in the beak is fine but not right across the eye

                      ah well ,next time i'll just have to adjust the grass before firing the shutter ,you go with your rule book stan ,i'll carry on posting what works for me and judging by comments both here and on flickr works for lots of others to ,including quiet a few lads i hold in esteem !!!!
