    Had to ramp the exposure up to +2 to avoid a total silhouette - think I got away with it (bit bright though)

    1DX, Canon 200-400. Handheld 1/3200, f/4, iso 3200, 311mm

        Very good

        Assume a captive bird going by your post in people

        Had to ramp the exposure up to +2 to avoid a total silhouette
        anything between +1 and +2 is quite normal for birds flying against a clear sky
