    Little Ringed Plover

    Popped to Blashford Lakes for an hour yesterday to see if the little ringed plovers were within shooting distance. I was lucky as there were two more or less in front of the hide. It wasn't until I looked on the computer I discovered one was the adult and the other (second shot) one of 3 juveniles - almost as big as the parent

                        I don't often see a ringed plover but a juvenile is great
                        don't forget these are little ringed plovers not ringed which a a bit bigger and not quite the same markings and a bird I cont recall seeing
