    a small noisy bird

I am sure someone will tell me right away what it is, I gave up with books - I could never be a twitcher - life's too short lol

These little guys would fly straight up out of the reeds, chirp mid air like their lives depended on it and then dive back down again. Trust me when I say it was 'fun' swinging the 200-400 around trying to keep them on centre focus point.

    1DX, Canon 200-400 with built in extender, 1/1600, f/5.6, iso 200, 560mm quite away

    1/1600, f/5.6, iso 200, 560mm cropped in

    1/4000, f/6.3, iso 500, 560mm diving backdown

I believe these to be the same bird:

More likely to be a meadow pipit if those in flight are the same as the last shot

Nice shots David, looks like a meadow pipit to me too.
