    Female Peregrine leaving the nest

    Managed to just about catch the female leaving the nest having dropped a pigeon in for the youngsters

    Not sure if this has been cropped, but you almost loose her in the rocks. Might suggest that you do a larger crop on the image

      Dont think it will take anymore cropping Tom as the nest was really high up on the cliff and the lens was struggling. If I crop anymore the quality really deteriorates but thanks for the feedback.

        its well caught but the background isn't helping and its one of those times you needed more reach ;o(

          Agree 100% , I was very frustrated about not having a longer lens as it would have made such a difference , but I guess when photographing wildlife you can never have enough reach but I'm afraid the serious 500mm and upwards are out of my price range and always will be.
