    Peregrine Falcon & Autumnal Colours

    Hi,
Spent a day with a falconer recently. His Peregrine flew into a tree & was playing difficult about coming back - managed to get some shots of him amongst the autumn leaves & thought it was a bit different from the usual shots of a captive bird of prey.
    Thanks for looking
    James

A good idea and something a bit different James but for me there is a bit too much of the yellow leaves especially along the top.

I would go for more of a landscape format, losing most of the yello along the top and cloning out what is left above his head

        I like it James
The framing effect looks good but I wonder if the break on the right hand side (midway) draws the eye too much and maybe cropping in from the right to remove it might be a good idea
The Falcon of course is the Main focal point and has been captured very well from me :-)
        Cheers

Well done James you've managed to capture something out of the ordinary for a bird photograph. Some good suggestions to tweak it too.

Re: Peregrine Falcon & Autumnal Colours

It's a very nice image James, however I think that a tighter crop, cutting out the yellow all around tends to help focus the eye on the eyes of the falcon.

I agree with Daves crop suggestion, a bit off the right making the falcon more off centre.

It's a fantastic shot James all the same

Well done James - an excellent image - for me it works fine as it is - I think cropping the RHS would lessen the sense of the bulk of the bird being hidden, so I would happily leave alone.
