    Female Goosander

    Not the best picture but really late in the afternoon under poor light and the bird was quite far away but overall thought it was worth keeping. The Goosanders have started staying on the pool behind our house but are very skittish and take flight whenever you try and get closer but I will persevere with them.

    Sorry wrong picture this is obviously a male shoveler captured at the weekend at a local reserve , will try and get the right picture next time.
