    Green Heron

    Apologies for posting another Green Heron thread, only that I have been lucky to see them on every visit to Florida and did not consider them to be difficult to see or get close to
    2 pictures, one from Vierra wetlands and the one from Shark Valley in the Everglades showing how much neck that manage to somehow get back into their bodyHeron (Green)-2.1.jpg by LISUSM, on Flickr

    Although the background is from it's natural surrounding, both images are sharp with detail. Alan

          Nice set Alan. You're right, they're not difficult to see but you do need to go to the right places. Viera Wetlands and the Everglades are ideal locations. They're not so common along coastal areas like Fort Myers Beach and Fort Desoto.
