    Hide and Seek with Snipe

As the title says spent an hour playing hide and seek with a small group of Snipe today, the little so and so's would not come out into the open and this was the best I could get. Focusing was tricky as the wind was constantly blowing the sedge in front of the lens.

Can see you would have problems focussing in those conditions but the focus looks spot on in this shot, well captured.

It looks like he was making it hard for you to get a shot.

We once spent hours watching a small flock of snipe in the grasses like this on a small island and like yours it was difficult to get one out in the open but with lots of patience we did manage a couple of clear shots as one moved into a small clear space.

Shame all that grass in front of him but OK for a record shot of the species
