        I see from your Flickr stream that you also got a Goldfinch on what looks to be the same perch
        there are few decent perches with enough distance in front ot the trees etc to give a clear background and this is the main one. The great and blue tits are also on the same one

                  only ever seen one that I know of
                  they come in droves to Blashford every year and also quite common over at Warnham East Sussex as well

                  what do you think of the Sigma 150-600 ?
                  had mine for coming up to a year now and cant fault it. The only slight downside is the minimum focus distance so I haven't used it too much in the summer when I am looking for butterflies dragonflies as well as birds -I then go back to my 300 f4 and 1.4x, which covers all those things and with the less weight, I can also carry my macro lens as well
