      Nice colours and detail John, only downside is he is so close to the bottom of the frame - a problem I get sometimes when using the central focus point and the bird comes just too near and not enough time to choose another point and reframe

              Agree with Stan about composition. If you don't do it already you could try back button focusing, you can then re-compose without losing the focus on the eye.
