    stonechat full frame

    this stonechat got really close ,the pic is full frame top to bottom i have just cropped off the sides for impact .

        I doubt my set up would of focused that close , I was a bit confused by the exif it seems to read 840mm ? I am guessing you were in a hide to get this close ? It is a shame about the foot , but the details are amazing . I would be happy with this if it was a Sparrow , but you got a top notch bird as well .

          yes mark ,its a 150-600lens with a 1.4 tc =840mm ,the hide is a mondeo ,the weather was appalling with dark grey skies and rain ,thanks for the comments lads

            that's some good detail

            Stonechats seem almost as approachable as robins and most of mine from the cliffs have been close and the birds just sit there and allow an approach from different angles

              When you bought the Mondeo did you opt for the optional hide then lol
