    First static skylark seen and shot y'day, quite dramatic birds.

                  All you need is a long lens, a lot of patience, a great deal of cropping in PS and an awful lot of luck. (In my experience!)... Though I gather that similar or better results are obtainable using skill and good knowledge of your subject!
