The Azores only has some 30+ breeding species and most of these are sub-species, so don't occur elsewhere. One of the more common is the chaffinch.
Its movements and call are very similar to that of the bird we have in the UK. However, its colouration as a bit different and the beak looks heavier and a bit longer.
