    Heron in flight.

    Having seen some of the recent Heron in flight pictures I thought I'd post these, taken some time ago. Apologies if I had posted these before.

    I like those Nat, clear, sharp, crisp and with a clean background, there is certainly a lot of them about these days, I never used to see any as a kid up north

      Thanks Tony. These were taken with my Canon 6D which doesn't have a fast burst but one of the easier birds to photograph in flight as they are not too fast.

                Yep first for me too Nat. I'd say a lift in shadows would be beneficial too.

                          yet again Nat both oversharpened and look like they are taken against the light - they might work if you start from scratch and process them again, this time looking at shadows and highlights and not so much sharpening and restrict it to the subject and not the background

                          the last one has the same problem as the first

                            Thanks Stan for taking a look. For you info, I have NOT sharpened the images at all and they look good on my large 22" monitor. Now that I have got both RAW+Jpg turned on I prefer to look at my Jpg image first and if they are OK, I am not going to bother with RAW although it is there on my computer.
