    Little Egret

    Little Egret, wading on the high spring tide at Newtown, Isle of Wight.
    Waters were calm today, so no bobbing round to contend with whilst photographing the birds.

    100-400L @ 400mm, f/5.6
    1/2500 sec, ISO 320

    <EDIT: Thanks for the info on Photobucket! >

        Hi Stuart;

        Flickr is always a bugger (for me anyway)... I can never figure out what image page and/or HTML tags you need to wrap around the URL to get the image to display... That's why I always use PhotoBucket

        Doesn't help you I know... but at least you have a great image there...

        EDIT PS: I wonder if it's because you have 'The owner has disabled downloading of their photos' enabled ???

        Feel free to edit & re-post as you see fit - but please - tell me what you have done to 'improve' the shot!

            Ditto with regard to the Flickr problems, I too use PhotoBucket, but putting that to one side I have looked at the URL and really like the picture, the use of the DOF I think works well and the clarity of the bird is great.

                Picture works fine for me as well.

                Good composition, whites held well and effective use of small depth of field. Glad you used photobucket, I wouldn't have liked to miss this one.
