    Nuthatch Family

Been watching a pair of Nuthatches in the woods behind our house and sometime over the weekend the chicks left the nest . I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to get a shot of the parents feeding them in the trees but failed miserably. It was a nightmare the 5 or 6 fledglings were constantly on the move calling and flitting around amongst the branches , I was having to constantly change settings as they caught some sunlight through the trees and then flying back into dark shade , whilst trying to spot the parents and anticipate which chick they were going to feed and where !!!!. All I managed to get in the end were a few shots of the fledglings !!

I do not think I have seen fledged Nuthatches before , it`s nice to see them . You have captured them well in what looks like tricky lighting .
