    quite a good effort but you have shot at quite a steep angle, always best to try and get them more or less at eye level and there are really too many oof branches in the background. Robins are such common and obliging birds its best to wait for a better opportunity to shoot

      I think the poor blighter was frozen to the branch, I waited ages for him to move but hypothermia was setting in so I took a few and retreated to the warmth of the car. Appreciate the advice as iv'e only recently returned to SLR photography after a break of about 30 years, forgotten more than I know.
