Re: Concentrate - Take Off
Thanks for looking Stan and your comments. Unfortunately the background was out of my control, as I was taken into a display with the grand kids, whilst enjoying my holidays. I know it's not to everyone's standards and of course to the high standards of the content of this forum.

Nice sharp shot of the bird with good detail ,I like the fact you have made no attempt to hide the fact it's a captive bird ,and like in my own shots sometimes we have totally no control over the background .personally I would rather come home with a sharp shot of a bird with a messy background than nothing at all .so well done Chris

Re: Concentrate - Take Off
Chris, my suggestion would be to crop in from the right, say to the end of its jesses. That at least removes the distracting light brown area and raincoats, plus the owl then has more room in front than behind.Canon EOS 7D

Re: Concentrate - Take Off
I was pleased with this shot, no, it doesn't have all the boxes ticked. But where I was and on holiday the shot came out reasonable. I am not an "expert" like some people think they are, but I am quite pleased with the shots I take. Photography is an extension of what the person is seeing. We all see things differently which makes it more interesting. And what I like is, it doesn't matter if you are 10 or 60 every day you will learn something. This is why I like reading this forum you always learn something each time you visit.
