    Little Egret and Meal

    Managed to do a little bit of bird stalking while on the Christmas break.....

    Some nice detail captured in the head and tail but the body of the bird has been overexposed for whites resulting in them being blown out. You could try moving the highlights slider to the left to try and recover some detail.

        Thats much improved mate as you can see some feather detail in the body now aswell , but probably needs the background brightening up a little now. It pays to do a test shot if you have time and have a look at the histogram on the back of the camera , this will tell you whether you are likely to over or under expose the shot at the settings you have chosen. If thst does not make sense pm mecand I will explain in a bit more detail.

            Tweaked looks better. Maybe a lift of the shadows would also help.
