      Re: Aussie parrots

nice to see parrots in the wild - don't think I have seen any on the forum before and all have great detail.

They all look a little oversharpened on here but that may be due to the flickr download. It does also appear you have appiled sharpening to the whole frame which has made the backgrounds and perches a bit too dominant - always better just to sharpen the subject either by selecting it and applying the usmor as I do sharpen the frame on a seperate layer, apply a mask and paint out the areas you dont want to sharpen

thanks Stan you are right about them being over sharpened they looked good on flicker at 1200px but soon as i resized at 800px with B&B code they uploaded like this i use a action for my sharpening but will dial it back a bit next posts
        thanks Jeff for the comments

that often happens when you upload to flickr at a larger size than you then post on the forum. I find it is best to upload and download the same - usually go for 900px

i use a action for my sharpening but will dial it back a bit next posts
I have a good few actions i use for processes I use a lot but never for sharpening as for most images you need to selectively sharpen rather than overall

Still getting it here when looking at the Lorikeets only, the others work fine.. Maybe the two of them are up to no good The one poking out the hole looks like she may have company.
