It's got a slightly odd look to it Steve, head looks ok but the body seems to have a strange texture to it, ( don't really know how to describe it) bottom edge of the branch looks funny too, can see you had poor light though.

the bird looks fine but the background is much too distracting - not up to your usual standards Steve

Did you blur the background Steve? As it seems to have created this unnatural glow around the bird and branch.

No Tom my very limited PP skills don't extend anywhere near that technique , just my normal noise reduction , brightness , sharpening etc
