Apologies in advance for posting so many shots in a single thread but wanted to give you a flavour of the whole sequence. As part of the courting ritual of Peregrine Falcons they perform a mid air food pass whereby the male catches some prey and circles high in the sky calling the female who then approaches at high speed and he passes the food to her in mid air . I have seen this once before but did not have my camera but this time I got lucky. The photos below show the male high in the sky calling his mate who was on the nest at this time , she flew up into the sky and the next shots show the food pass from male to female who then flies away with her " gift " in the last shot. The full sequence can be seen on my Flickr site.
