              Nicely done Stan, as a matter of interest, how close were you? I ask because I see them almost every day but find them very camera shy and I am lucky to get within 50 metres.

                Paul you are thinking of the grey heron, this is quite different and one from Florida. Over here, getting close to herons is about the same as your experiences but quite different in Florida as most birds are much more accomodating. The various herons, egrets and many of the small birds can easily be approached to within a few metres with little problem
