    More Kingfishers

The first on another different perch

and the second back on the post where he stayed preening for a few minutes occasionally diving, more for preening rather than fishing although on one occasion he caught a small "something" which he lost just leaving the small sliver you can see at the back of his throat

Cracking shots Stan, so much nicer to see them on 'natural' perches

Very nice set Stan, I’ve only every managed to see the flash of a kingfisher usually as I’m walking along a stream/riverbanks and always without a camera to hand.

this is the only location where there is a good chance of seeing them up close regularly and there have been a couple on the Brownsea lagoon over the past couple of weeks but only for a very distant shot
