    Barn Owl

I have been doing some end of year housekeeping on the computer, in preparation to buying a new iMac and I came across a folder of shots I took with Miles in the New Forest. I seem to recall he took out six birds that day, ranging from a little Kestrel up to a very large Eagle, but I was rather taken with this handsome Barn Owl.

Thanks guys, but most of this was down to Miles. He chose the birds, venue, perches background etc. All I had to do was point it in the right direction and press the shutter.

we did a couple of sessions earlier in the year and the forest and background at the location are ideal. Excellent detail and a pose to exclude all the leatherwork

I think this has to be my favourite ever Barn Owl shot. Fantastic!

Funnily enough I have had a new I.mac since sept ,my lad is backing up all the crap I have accumulated since then so I can start 2018 with a nice clean hard drive ,b.t.w most solid state drives are only 500gb so do keep a eye on storage

I think I may have a couple that you would prefer more Carol.

I'll dig into my Barn Owl file and come up with something.

I updated my current iMac with a 1TB SSD when the existing 500GB HD was starting to play up and it wasn't too bad a job to do with the screen held on by magnets. On the latest versions it's double sided tape, so quite a simple change is now rather awkward. So with that in mind I am doing a custom order and ordering it to the spec I want. Silly price and I have held off for a month worrying over the cost and thinking perhaps that I should compromise. Then, in a moment of clarity I decided .............. why the hell should I compromise!
