      Re: Willow Tit

Nice to see, very scarce around here the Marsh Tit being more prevalent. Feather detail looks a little confusing on my Mac, maybe a little over-sharpened?

never seen any here either just some march tits in the forest. John, at Millers Wood, says they are reasonably common in that area

Lovely shot Stan , did you hear it call as I would say its a Marsh Tit with the light spot on the mandible albeit they are very difficult to tell apart

didnt hear it call but my first thought when I saw it was a marsh tit but the owner of the wood said it was a willow

they do have quite a distictive call but there were so many different birds had I heard the call it would have been difficult to isolate from the rest. Checked with Dee and she didnt hear it either. I am checking again with the guy at Millers to try and confirm one way of the other
