    Inquisitive robin

When I was at Backwell Lake recently, this little chap came over and gave me a thorough visual inpection.

        Re: Inquisitive robin

some good detail but I find the dark band behind a bit of a distraction - there is so much of it. In fact there is a lot of "excess" space on the right and where the robin is positioned means he is looking out of the frame

A better composition would probably be to lose the right 50% of the frame which would then have the robin looking into the frame

The second is a much better composition John.

Gorgeous lighting to bring out detail in the feathers and catchlight in the eye.
