    Ice breaking Swan

This Swan kept rising itself up like this & crashed down onto the thin ice in front of it & then feeding in the newly exposed area. Taken at Loch of Lowes.

Good action David, could do with some straightening and the whites toning down a bit though

just had a look at this on flickr to confirm it wasn't the upload and I'm afraid its quite soft still .there doesn't appear to be any improvement for the money you have spent .sorry

Sorry David I must agree with Jeff about it being a bit soft

          Thanks
For the comments, not sure what to do about the softness, it was a fair way out as the ice went out a long way, plus a large crop, but I shall just have to keep trying.

Try a.v mode ,f8 ,keep your shutter speed over 1/1000 sec don’t worry about iso level .use single point focus ,definetly not in one shot mode .even in poor light you should get a sharp shot ,if not I would be straight back on the phone Monday
