A very cold day at Slimbridge yesterday but rewarded by the showing of two of these elusive birds virtually all day long. Only problem was the limited time they were out in the clear

Nice one, flighty little blighters and easily spooked, my ones been out and about again too, it must be a food issue forcing them out of cover.

and the cold - the last time we saw them here was two years ago but none last year as it was much milder
